Nice 8:00 - 10:00 session, powered up just about the whole time, first on a 145L, then for the balance of the session on the 109L. Started dying off at 10:00. Once again, nice reach (for Grants) - water level still at the fence line... clean cool water, lots of seagulls, very few fishermen.

YAY, GRANTSVILLE! YAY JOHN FOR GETTING IT!
It finally happened! Sorry I wasn't there. Quit looking at it when it switched from South to N from 4:00-5:30 AM (in spite of Black Crook staying south) and went for a bike ride. Oh me of little faith! At least the dry spell is broken. Notably, the winds aloft at 6:00 AM were south all the way down to the valley floor, which has not been the case for days and days and days. What's up with that phenomena anyway? Anybody know? So much rain that the microclime humidity is keeping the air cooler and not allowing mixing? Is that why DC has been sucky even though Sundance Arrowhead has been happy south? No offense to the esteemed Captain Southwick, but when he needs a 9.5 to plane, I'm passing.
Lesson learned - sleep later, believe in the Force, follow Freed (or the Onstott).

Dimitri...
I wish I could take credit for it... actually several days ago, Ken (what do you call him... the "Budda of Grantsville") emailed me and said "Grasshopper... Thursday looks like the day"... (he said he couldn't go, however said that if I knew what I was doing I should keep the morning open...) I looked a the charts, weather, etc... I couldn't figure it out. But never ignor Ken, I mean Budda... I almost bailed also, when I saw early switch to the north, but I kept checking until about 6:45, and when it came back fairly strong, I put the pedal to the medal. I'm thinking tomorrow is a possibility also, see you there? We better check with Budda first for a "sign".
