Rolled in around 4 to see many kites already up. The binoculars told that all kites were small. I pulled out the 7m and was well pleased. I was fully over powered the entire time. The wind was as smooth as it gets. honest it is the smoothest wind i have ever been kiting. I saw some huge airs sweet tricks and some newbies getting schooled. SAl had some sweet jetty gaps. I was too scared to do it on the small kite. I know the boats and fishermen were impressed by what they saw. I want to see all the pictures and video that was taken posted for the viewing pleasure of us all.

Very fun time! Perfect wind. Thanks Jake for letting me ride the Kahoona. Very nice kite! Handled great. Pictures at eleven.

Three days in a row for me. Best wind I've seen for some time, maybe the best this year. As a guess it was 22-25 and pretty smoothe from 3:30-5:30 and then backed off a little. Put up the 10 Rise with a bunch of trim pulled in. had a ton of power but completely managable - nice top end on that kite. Had some fun riding breaking waves over in Sal Padre. Away from shore, the ramps were as big as i've ridden in UT lake (aargh, the sea was angry that day....). managed to find a rock with my board over in the lagoon - don't get too close to the shore in there.

The wind was too strong for me (newbie with an 11M), so I decided to be a cinematographer for the day. I got so much good material, I hardly know what to do with it all! I feel like my skill level improved just from watching all the sick boarders out there do their thing. Thanks for the good show guys! Be sure to watch for my posted video after I've had a chance to edit it down a bit.

I got there too early. I had to leave by 2 and it was still blowing the wrong direction. Glad to hear it switched. Give the film footage and photos to Rick for the next association meeting.
