Perfect way to start the weekend! I left work and noticed that I could not see the lake. It was blowing out of the SW so I figured Lindon might be on. It was cool to see other kites up as I pulled in. Everything from 13.5 to 7m kites. Perfect smooth South wind! (Yea right) Actually not bad, and the new 7m had me riding comfy in the nuking wind and smoky sky.

Perfect is the word. Lindon is a great launch on a south west. Tyler "Durdan" throwing triple back rolls, new guys like Trever and Chris ripping on 10M best kites in 30-35 mph wind. I had a killer time on Jakes Kahoona. Wave riding.... real wave riding... on 3 to 5 foot braking faces. The Kahoona just parks up there while you charge down the line. I am freaking stoked!
Big Thursday.... no shit .... best kiting I have ever had in Utah.

Arrived after 6pm to about 10 kites up at Lindon beach - I think that is the most I have ever seen there. Since I don't have a small kite, I had my windsurfer - 100 liter board with a 5.0 sail. At that wind direction it took a few tacks to get out of the bay, but then it was big and strong. There were mountain waves and 30+mph sustained gusts that had me nearly pointing directly into the wind to stay in control. Then there were lulls here and there where I could barely stay on the board and then a big gust would blow me over. I can't remember a big day like that in August. A real arm stretcher.

The wind is way smoother at 22m over the lake.

Come to the dark side.
