ULLB 17M Waroo & Glide
Kyrk had a free evening and I knew the sprinkler system I've been trying to put in all summer would still be there on Tuesday so we decided to take a chance and take the big kite and board down and see what ULLB would give up.
Arriving, it was real light, but seemed to be filling in so we rigged up the 17M (You can't improve if you don't try, right?). I wasn't able to fully plain initially, but at about 7:30 or so, it filled in enough that with the big plank I could stay slightly up wind. It was actually a good session allowing me to work on board control and attempt better transitions and turns while forgiving the newb mistakes I was making.
I handed the bird off to Kyrk who was able to make several tacks in and out of the smooth water.
All in all it was a great light wind session. Glad I had the right gear to take advantage of the conditions and hope to continue to gain experience.
