I checked the weather, which listed light southwinds for the week, but decided to take my gear anyway. I ended up riding four days straight on larger gear after a morning of horseback riding. Hebgen is just outside of West Yellowstone and gets fairly consistent afternoon winds. It appears to be best near the damn, but we stayed at in the Grayling Arm of the lake--a weed fin would have been nice, but it was the most sailing for me of the year.

Hey Tom...Great job getting four days in a row! I too have found the yellowstone area to provide some great rides in the afternoon at both the north end of Yellowstone Lake and Jackson Lake at the Signal Mountain Boat launch. I always take my gear and rarely get skunked! I`m jealous....wish I could have been there.....Grant
