Got my first after work session at DC! Got on the water at 5pm just as the kids were coming off from their afternoon session. How was it anyway? The race board is not mandatory for riding in light wind, but to me, makes it more fun. You are faster and can point higher than on a flat twin-tip. Billy and I have come to the conclusion that if you can fly the kite, you can ride on the race board. Just don't drop your kite. I have been riding the race board in wind where a deep water relaunch is just plain out of the question.

Mark Fong (6.7m sail, 155L board) and I (6.0m sail, 96L board) were both a bit underpowered; it looked as though it was really going to "go off" when were first arrived, but almost immediately started to fade. Anjee arrived late in the session and got a few rides on a 6.5.

Hit Sail boat beach for stronger wind or atleast that was the idea. 6.9 and 117 liters got rides about 50% of the time. Good for the light wind freestyle. :))
