On the water at 4 and kited until 6. really good, buter was like parkay in the reeds. chop and waves were fun. Drysuit kept me warm with two layers. the problem was the hands, dakine gloves dont cut it in 37 degree temp. fun session by everyone. snowkite yesterday, water kite today, gotta luv it!!!

I think this was only my second session this season at SSB. booties, gloves, hood, drysuit. 41 degrees when i arrived at 3:30 and 38 degrees when we left. well powered most of the time on the 10m Rise. winds were low 20's for the first hour and tapered to mid-high teens over the last hour. Same as Todd, warmth wasn't a problem except for my hands, maybe i'll invest in a pair of dry gloves next year (mystic makes some that look good for $60 or so). great fun ripping high speed S turns in buttersmoothe alley. had the kite come unhooked once, which popped out of my hands and snapped my leash. took about 15 mins to get that all sorted out. Otherwise a pretty good session. A good chance that'll be my final water appearance in northern UT this year.

fro some of you thinking this might be dangerous. SSB is somewhat safe because it is shallow for a long way out. If there was a problem you could walk in.

Love the water in the reeds. You have to skimboard through a mine field to get there, but as you
cross through the gate of reeds, the sound of the wind vanishes and all you can hear is the spray
off you board and the thunk of a carp.
