SEARCH AND RESQUE SKYLINE 1/18/2010
Trevor, Pete and I arrived around 11:00 to extremely low vis conditions. Demoed each others kites in light wind and stayed
very close to the lot. I was very surprised when I fell moving backwards when I thought I was moving forwards. A couple
from Boston showed up who have never kited Skyline. The gentleman set up 12m LWF C kite after I warned him spacifically to stay close.
He made a couple of passes close, then decided to head over the hill and down into the dead zone. His wife lost radio contact after an hour of beeing out.
After about 3 hours, a helpfull snowmobiler was able to get radio contact with him who turned up in between mile marker 15 and 16 wich is a mile and a half to the
"EAST" of the lot
He said he knew where he was and started walking out and ended up there. Lucky dude! Wind started rocking after that as we were able to turn out
an epic true south wind session on 16m Waroo's 12m LWF Havoc and 12 Nemi. Cool to see Spencer rippin it up.
