Don, I heard you guys did a downwinder from Todd. How did it go? I kited there at CC East from 4PM to 5PM on my 14M Caution and 170 Snowboard. Wind was pretty steady up until 5PM (The typical "witching hour") when I saw Leo heading back to his car and it shut off completely. Todd, Thanks for the advise to take my snowboard instead of my skis. The snowboard was floating pretty good even around most of the bushes, although there are still a few "black holes" lurking in the sage, only managed to auger in 2 or 3 times. The riding out on the ice was the best, with 5 to 8 inches of soft snow on top, never felt the ice once. There were a few minor squalls coming through but visibility remained good. The squalls would create wind shifts up to 25 degrees WSW to WNW. Best wind out near the UDOT Shed Flats. Lots of icefisherman and snowmobilers, so I just carried my pump and bag on my back, so it wouldn't disappear, like someone's did a few weeks ago. All in all a good session with the best coverage so far this year. Whit G

Captain Don and I did a downwinder from CCE to the Cabins. Wind was great out on the ice and on the ridgelines, kind of weak at the launch spot and down in the narrows. Pow was so nice. It was another epic day at Strawberry.
