Feb 3 Skyline. 12m foil, skis.
Missed the easterly up top, but rode the NW side of Huntington Res. on the small slopes to the sides of the ice, which was nice for something different. We went to check it out since there wasn't much up top, but I think it kind of turned on east everywhere about the same time for that hour or so.
Back up to Bosco it had gone W-SW. I launched and looped to up the hill. I then proceeded to loop the kite approximately 500 times for the next three hours. It was all work, but I was having the time of my life. Climbed the hill and pointed it towards any type of bush jump I could find all afternoon. I can't get over how much fun this kiting thing is. I am hooked for life. I sometimes wonder though, if I took some sort of intermediate lesson, if a light bulb would just go off and things would come together. I'm amazed at how much I could learn in a year, but there are so many variables that are just foreign. I feel like I do things the same way three times in a row, but the fourth is the only time it comes together. I don't know, I guess it's just all practice.
