2/28 Strawberry River, 10M and 13 M foil, skis
Arrived at Strawberry at 1 p.m. and saw not one. Wind was light. I guess folks much have been too tired from riding the big winds the last 3 days and didn't care much for the light wind.
Anyway, I took out my 10 M Manta II and 13 M Frenzy and had a great time. I finally get to try kiting on snowboard. I have to say it sucks in chopped up snow. Skis are a lot better for crusty snow. When the powder is sweet again, I will give snowboard another try.
All in all, 4 days of kiting is never a bad thing. I tried couple of small LEI kites in Skyline and found it a lot easier to handle than I've imagined. But I still like foil on snow.
