Wild day at Grantsville. Mike Egan and I started on 4.7's at about 9:00, rigged down to a 4.1 about 11:00, felt like we were in a dust bowl. Rested during the 12:30 lull (just as Craig predicted), then back to the 4.7 as Sara and Linda showed up. Left about 3:00 as Linda was still getting rides on her 4.7. Best wind (as usual) was during the morning hours, variable in the afternoon. Water a little chilly, but nice to have 60 degree air temps today.

After John, showed us how to rip turns, and left, the wind picked up again, and Linda got good 4.7 rides for another 1.5 hrs. There were some funky gusts that came through, but she mostly stayed planning, and got some ripping turns in. Pooor me.....I was glued to my phone, on shore, on call for work. I did spend a bit of time roaming the beach area, picking up BROKEN GLASS...and let me say that, there was alot there. I only combed the middle area, that goes down to the water. I was worried that the glass would be coverd up by water soon. SO PLEASE EITHER WEAR BOOTIES, OR BE VERY CAREFULL WHEN COMING INTO THE BEACH.
The water level looks ok, but is a long ways from the railing, so I hope it fill up a lot more.
Also.....where we parked the van, which was kindof in the middle. There were alot of NAILS, all along the rail area. Just sitting there waiting to ruin tires, so be careful where you park also. It's just amazing what people dump out there.
