Been working for the Feds in Bullfrog, Lake Powell for the past two weeks.
Some others didnt recomend kiting Powell due to its dangerous potencial.
I brought all my gear anyways. Kited the three mile wide streatch inbetween
Bullfrog and Halls Crossing 4 days in a row. My launches were very difficult, consisting of
self rescue floats across large parts of water to get to drift launchable beaches. I have never used
the kite as a sail before but, it really works.
I had to upwind about a half mile to get to the main channel where I had Semi-Gorge like winds
every day as soon as I got off work. Never been that far offshore on kite but what a beautifull
location. Rode 7m Bull, 13m Roo a couple times but way overpowered.
