I drove by DC at 2:00 on my way to Lincoln only to find some solid white caps and steady west wind. Decided to stay and had a real steady , powered afternoon unlike the the gusty conditions the last couple of days. There were just a handful of us kiting and think it was Jim S. out there representing the pole border community. :)))

Yup, that was me on my mini formula (over)powered by my 8.5, then just right on my 7.5. A bit of a hike from the parking area (the side of the road) to the water (how I envy the kiters their compact equipment!) but otherwise a nice rigging area and launch. Very steady wind and amazingly few motorboats for a holiday weekend.

I was on my way to ULLB when I saw the wind line roll in and John pumping up, stayed at DC and was rewarderd with some smooth wind and nice water temps. Five of us including Jim had the place to ourselves, spent the session jumping over boats and floating under the zephyr, John and Chris have really been getting some air time with their zephyrs, bigf enough that chris lost his board after kicking it off, Mike hill was even pulling the trigger on his new sport 11m!

Hope your board shows up chris!

DC is for real!
