Spent 5 days in Waterton National Park, supposedly one of the windiest places in Canada. I say "supposedly" because the first 4 days were wind-free. However, the 5th day was redeemed with nice wind and sunny skies. Went out in the morning on an 11M with smooth wind for a couple hours. After riding 15 minutes, a small crowd started to gather. I found out that kiteboarding is still a novelty there. The launch is a little hairy and requires an assisted launch and the water is cold (I wore a 5/3). Went out again in the afternoon on a 9M, but the wind was really up and down. After 45 minutes clouds started to blow in and I landed the kite before a nasty squall came through.

It was a fun place to kite, the views were spectacular and the wind was strong with decent swell.
