Aug 19-24 Oregon 7-11m kites
Posted: Fri Aug 27, 2010 9:55 amGood time in Oregon, got to rally with many inter-mountain riders and friends from all over. It seemed the world converged on the eastern gorge corridor this past weekend.
After most of the crew headed back home, Marty and I went coastal. 10 meter C4 the first day, point sailing at Manzanita, and then down winding it at Shipwreck the next day on 11 meter kites. A few jelly fish in the water, along with whales a couple hundred yards offshore. The whales were eating the sharks, that an SUP'er claimed to see swimming in the surf. And sea lions apparently, but they stayed away from me.
Good times, Good times. My favorite camp was Roosevelt, favorite session was the down winder in the 4 foot waves, favorite kite was the 10m C4, favorite board was the Xenon 135 Laluz.
