8/28 Echo 13m Yarga, big board
So I went to DCBB late yesterday afternoon (3:30) and got there just in time to watch the wind die. When BB came into view, there were 4 kites. Within minutes there were 0!
Anyway, I spent the night in Park City and on the way home to Ogden, decided to give Echo a try with the south wind. It was kinda gusty which was not a surprize but I had a good time. I was clear up at the south end which means off shore wind, but I stayed in the shallows so I wouldn't drift. I took a pretty good fall a hudred or so yards from shore, lost the board but still stood up in waist deep so it worked pretty well. All in all, a good day. It appears that Willard was nuking so I'm glad I stopped at Echo. BTW, there were times I was lit and times I was struggling. Thank heavens for the big board that stays on top during the low winds.
