9/4 thru 11 Gorge 3.7 - 5.3
Posted: Tue Sep 14, 2010 3:12 pmArrived Sat. afternoon and had wind @ Rufus, so we stopped on the way into town and had beautiful 4.2 wind, swell, and sunny skies. It puts a smile on your face right away. We sailed for several hours, then headed for town. We only missed 2 out of 8 days on the water . One we went mtn biking, when it was kind of cool and cloudy, and the other we sat at the Wall waiting for wind....should have gone to Dougs. Oh well my body was happy for the rest. We had a couple of really good 3.7 and 4.2 days at the Wall. Dougs kicked in a couple of times, and I think we only got to the Hack once. Town, the parking, and the river seemed so UN-crowded, it was really nice. Got to sail with Craig, Fred, Gunnars, Rob, Tim, RobBob. Sad to say good bye to the summer sailing in the Gorge. Hope to have a good fall season of sailing here.
