Normally I don't post trips,
but not much forum action.
Padre is so cheep this time of year,
Flew Southwest for $286, paid $50 each way to take 97lbs of gear
5 kites 3 boards (surfboard)we paid $440 for nice condo,
split between just Vern and I,
Jon and Steve (from Jackson) canceled last minute.
Jim was there, in another condo with his GF.
And the food there is so good, gulf shrimp is awesome.
We may have had a little Tequila.

Flat water kiting in 4 foot deep, warm water.

First day there 11M Edge, perfect for the flat water, boostieness.
then 10M C4, the most time I've spent on the C4, what range it has!
next day 7M then 10M,
then Zephyr day, the only kite staying upwind.
followed by another 7M day.
worked up to a 11M day.
finally a day off,
and ended the trip with a powered Zephyr day.
90 degrees most days,
76 for the high one day.
Was it snowing here? ha.
