Rode this week at the same spot as last. Winds were south so tried to ride Chicken Creek. No wind there. Decided I'd head back to Renegade. Winds were on there. Rode for a few hours till the snow got too soft and my body was done for. Scrub is starting to show through on some south facing slopes. Temps were in the 40's. Snow won't last much longer if this keeps up. Get it while you can. Haven't seen another kiter out for a few weeks, what happened to everyone? People actually at work?

Billy,
thought I saw you driving up the canyon as I was leaving. I'm talking about the area north of the marina. Where the roads bends and there is the entrance gate. There is a sign saying Renegade. This is further down the road from Mud creek, if by Mud creek you mean that parking lot by the mud creek sign. I could just be making up names though! I've never ridden there before until this year, but found the wind stronger on a light south wind. You launch from a ridge instead of down below like in the flats at the marina.
Were you riding a north at the River or was it still south?
Plenty of snow still, but was melting fast, especially south facing slopes. The road to the marina was mostly blacktop. Last yr got to ride May 1st in a foot of pow. Hope to see that happen again.
