3/26, Strawberry River, 13.5 Kahoona, snowbaord
South wind day is always iffy for Strawberry and today is no exception. There was absolutely nothing at the viewing area or the Marina from the folks I spoke to at Strawberry. I was at the view area briefly and Derry came by and told me there is enough wind just half miles down the road. Sure enough, there was enough north east wind for a light wind session. We got couple of hours of riding and then the wind just died around 3:30. On the way back, the flags near Strawberry River was showing south west, and I saw a 15 meter Manta up. So, I pulled in and find Arnold, Analiese, Whit, Tom and couple other people setting up. Mike Hill is flying the beautiful unmarked 13 meter Frenzy. The wind was light. But the Kahoona makes the session possible. Rode until 7 p.m. and the snow started coming down. Not a total skunk, so it is a pretty fun day.
