Just another Grants adventure. Skipped Friday and went to the Hill Air Museum. We got to the lake Friday just in time for a scenic walk around the lake with the usual great scenery as the sun was setting. Saturday we woke up in the motor home to tons of wind and a surprisingly warm 55 degrees. But the water was frigid at 39 degrees. Since I am still using a wetsuit rather than a drysuit, I thought better of my usual hop onto the 85L Sonic and stayed on the floatier 115L S type. This was a good choice as there were the usual lulls when the winds occasionally went west. Lots of screaming rides on the 6.0 in sometimes 5.0 winds gave me a great workout. It was warm 70’s by the time I quit. It rained hard starting a dinner and we woke up to 28 degrees and 4” of snow. That is the only time I appreciated all those rocks on the road otherwise we would have sunk to the axles. A great weekend.
