Showed up around 10am. Steve from Cloud 9 was just leaving after having the entire morning to himself. Pumped up a 12m cause that's the smallest I had with me. First sesh was WAY overpowered. Had a hard time keeping the thing controlled. Chase was on his 9m fully depowered and was lit. Second sesh was better on the 12. 45 minutes of smooth riding. Started nuching around 1-2. Fricking gusts to 50mph! Chase let me have a hack at the 9m. 45 min of fun, rippible, playground. Met Don, Peter, Gunners, Jim and an icon with a pimped out frito lay van converted to a "storm chaser." Fun day in all! Great meeting all you guys,
Justin from Alaska

I got to rush at about 1:00 to plenty of wind. Rode 4.2 all afternoon absolutely lit at times. I could have ridden 5.0 or 3.7 at different moments and eventually just gave up on trying to adjust my downhaul/outhaul to account for contantly changing conditions. At one point someone pulled out a tube wind meter that went from 20 to 40 and it was pegged at 40MPH indicating it was well stronger than that. Saw multiple kites have safety's pulled and one kiteboard lost. Not a friendly day for kiters at Rush but a killer day for pole-boarding. Wish I'd have gone to MM19 but it wasn't windy at all there when I left the house. That place is like Vegas. It pays off about 2% of the time.

I was testing my 3B Quick Release... a upgrade for my Best Bars. QR worked perfectly. Slingshot leash failed. No lost kite. I am claiming 60+ Gust. Two cracked ribs. All good.
