Showed up with Tyler at 5 and the wind was already blowing. Rode the 13.5 with a twin tip while Tyler rode 11.5 with a surf board. I took a mega tack over to what was formerly known as South Sandy Beach to check out conditions. It is know more like south swampy bayou. When I returned to Lincoln Jake had shown up and was riding 13.5, but shortly thereafter went in to pump 17 because the wind backed off. All in all it was a great session. Steady wind with good swell for almost 2 hours.
On another note, the camp host was on the rampage tonight. He approached Tyler and I while we were pumping to inform us that kites were against the rules at Lincoln beach. When we asked what he was talking about he took us over to the sign with posted rules and pointed out #12 which states "No rock walls, inflatable, bouncy, or large blow up toys allowed in the park." Tyler told him our kites were sailing equipment and not large blow up toys, and the host walked away. After our session was over I told Jake what had happened and he approached the host who pretty much denied everything and acted like we had come to an understanding earlier which he apologized for. I don't know what any of this means, but thought it worth reporting.
Good wind and good times. See you all there soon.
