I got there and setup about 11:00am It was a little on the top side to begin with, (maybe cause I'm so out of practice.) Anyway, it calmed a bit and was great. Lots of others showed up later. Pole boarder first, for the most part, then kiters. (Some pole boarders were there when I arrived.) Great way to spend a birthday! :-)

Willard is always nice. Warm water, clean sandy beach, and grass rigging area.

I think the south forecast was over hyped by the media. Pretty sure, we can blame Fox news.

I did get a couple hours of 6m sailing in though. Willard's swell/chop is always fun to play in.

The wind started much earlier than forecast but when I arrived 11am it was full on 9m for the next couple of hours before backing off to 12m plus kites. By mid afternoon it had switched to SW and steadily decrease in strength until about 4:30pm when it completely died. The crew was a fun mix of windsurfers and kiters and Willard delivered a fun day.
