Cocoa beach 520 slick/ St Thomas, St Martin, Bahamas
Posted: Sun Oct 30, 2011 10:35 pm520 slick cocoa beach fl Oct 17th-22nd. Nassau Bahamas Oct 23rd. St thomas Oct 25th. St Martin Oct 26th. Had 14 meter days everyday except for 2 nuking days on my 10 at the slick and got skunked in the Bahamas. 520 slick was way fun/shallow flat water riding right next to the freeway with cars honking at ya. Just make sure to bring bug spray. I landed my 1st backroll and learned hooked & unhooked raileys. I've had this mental block my whole life trying raileys on the wakeboard but was super surprised as to how natural and simple they are Kiteboarding. Still don't think I'd try one wakeboarding though. The trip was awesome. My days on the islands the wind was a bit light and could have done without stepping in a bed of sea urchants the minute I took my booties off in St Thomas. I also could have done without the naked man launching my kite in St Martin but it was all part of the experience.
