Had my first trip to the home land in five years, took all my kiting stuff and was not disapointed. I got two pretty good days in one just back and forth on the beach, and one about a five mile downwinder.

The local launch is tough, Only enough for about four kites, dead onshore and a massive tree directly down wind, absolutley no room for error. Dead onshore also means body dragging to get out far enough from shore to get your board on.

But the Lake is pretty big and once your out there the wind is pretty smooth.Waves are about 10 times the size of DC though so it took a little getting use to.
I havent named the lake so it dosen't pop up on the serch engines out of respect for the local kiters but i would be happy to let you know were it is.

That last one is for fishing fan's ended up being a pretty big rainbow, but i had it back in the water before there was a good shot of it. I know no picture it didn't happen right :)))

Looks like a cool lake Alex. Kind of looks like Deer Creek with bigger swell and cleaner water. It's time for you to go to Utah Lake on a big day. Were you running around in the shingle with bare feet? You're tougher than I thought.

At least it was caught on the fly and then sent home with a soar lip.
Sportsmanship! thats all that matters. Right
