Not much wind today. Go to Sulfur for some leftover formula scraps
in the PM.

Better potential at Sulfur tomorrow, and Weds may be kiteable at UL,

Gorge Forecast?

Craig... I don't think I'm the only one watching the Gorge forecast this week, so for all of us currently packing up and starting to head out, what do you think? It apears high pressure is coming in and may shut off the wind for several days (+?), beginning Wednesday/Thursday of this week. Are you heading up, and would you like to venture a forecast? I was/am planning on leaving tonight....

John,
Here's a live report from Doug's. Whatruthinking? Craig's probably ripping it up right now. Don't drive. Fly up today and get it before it shuts down!
Judi and I are planning on leaving on Thursday. We'll look for you when the wind picks up. If the high has mooved in, it might be more promising on the coast. We haven't done that in awhile. Our cell is 699-4300. Have fun! :D 8)

John, It's NOT pretty! It looks like no wind Weds through Saturday at
least, maybe Sunday. Might be a chance for a 5.5 Easterly Friday.
I'd wait, in fact I'm not going up till Sunday (don't wanna miss the Tiki Party).

Thursday:
Hint of a heatwave around the corner. Never a good sign, except for S OR Coast which could really start rocking as northerly gradients tighten up. Gorge left stuck simmering w/ light easterlies at this point in time.

Forecast above prepared by meteorologist Stuart Hill (iwindsurf)

Man, I hope the coast at least gives up some rides,
That is my first chioce any way-
The Fort Stephens downwinder is the best rides I've ever had. (kiting)
If its D.O.A. in the Gorge,
the coast gives the most.....

Thank You!

Craig,
Thanks for the heads up... where would we be without you... probably sitting on a (hot) windless beach somewhere... see you "next" week in the Gorge... the beers are on me!
