the best wind around the dinner hour, might get down to 15M stuff.
Is there any liquid left in Rush? If so, and you're ready to brave it,
it should be pretty Kiteable from noon on.

Every morning I drive past Parley's Canyon. This morning the canyon wind was especially strong, I could feel it in my car from 7th east all the way to the mouth of the canyon. I understand that is cold air sinking or a katabolic wind.

I can't help but wonder what sort of indicator/predictor this is for Deer Creek or Sulfur Creek. Does the canyon drainage effect the afternoon puff at deer creek? Is there any connection? Or is there any connection that can be used for a predictor? like, 30 mph drainage means a 8 mph gust at deer creek?

Having worked near REI for years I can vouch for the Parleys drainage wind. Drives you crazy if you sail. AM till 9am, PM it can start around 9pm. Grant McCallister lives at the base and he can verify what that wind means.

My secret theory is its the same direction as Rick's "Fayette Wind" at Yuba, but I'm not willing to drive 104 miles to find out!

Check the Dam Chute wind meter reading this evening and tell me what
you think.

I will check that tonight. Seems like there is no chance of wind over water today, but really good chance of strong winds over Skyline parking lot tonight.
