The cool thing about this station is its right there at Monte Cristo. Its had quite a few phantom 150-200 mph winds that have blow through there over the past month. mmm.. could make for some good lure.

I haven't used it but the point forecast is usually pretty accurate. Or you can take the Pow Mow point forecast or Pow Mow actual winds and subtract 5-10mph. Subtract closer to 10 when the winds are greater than 25mph at Pow Mow. These numbers will reflect what the winds will be at the normal riding area at the end of the road by the snowmobile parking lot. If you had a snowmobile and could ride further up the mountain.....?that is unexplored for kiting as far as I know and has great potential, just access problems. There is also the new weather station right on the ridge at our normal riding area at Pow Mow that I think is owned by the University Of Utah. We need to figure out how to access that site or if it can be done at all.

I emailed their meterology program for mountain weather and did alot of searching around their website yesterday. I didnt find anything yet for that PM weather station, but they do have oberservation stations at some of the other ski areas, so I'm hoping that one is theirs.
