The Ice is off (Where to Ride 3/23)

Welcome to another season of wind based water sports!
Today looks like wind enough for bigger Kites at Rush in the PM.
I'd look for it to peak out there about 2 PM and be good most of the
afternoon. The clouds should part and give you mostly sunny skys
by then also. Before Noon, there might be unstable air out there,
so keep a weather eye out. Windsurfers with big gear (think 8.5 and 150 ltrs)
should get planable conditions on the North end of UL about the same time. Looks
to be pretty steady, but not very strong. Should last several hours.
Grantsville should cough up a few PM North rides also.
Tomorrow looks like residual North, and probably only planable for
Kiters at Rush in the PM. By Sunday there may be thermal potential
at Rush and DC. I'll be in Grand Junction, but I should be close to a
computer, so I hope to update on Saturday and Sunday.

Looking forward to a fine season,

-Craig

Craig, you called it at rush, not that I'm suprised. Wind logged at Pennys looked to be 15-20 all afternoon. Hope to hear that some riders were out taking advantage of it. Can we expect the same tomorrow?

Hi Les,

While it should be ridable, I don't think it will be a strong.

Thanks,

I'm blushing (over here in Colorado). You are most kind.
