Ive been getting some new gear as I am just trying to get back into kiteboarding. I now have a harness, board, and 2 kites. One 2005 Best Nemesis 14m 5line equiped kite, and one 2003 21m Ocean Rodeo Bronco kite (i think its only equiped for 4 line, is there a way to rig it for 5). Anyway my main question is what is a good all around bar to get (i usually use one bar for all my kites)? The thing I want most in a bar is probably safety, and a decent price is always good. Any suggestions?

Steve,
I suggest that you post this same question on
http://www.kiteforum.com.
I have a Naish Shift Bar with 5 lines and a Windwing 4 line bar. You can have both for free. Both of these bars are safe, it is a good idea to set up both of your kites with a 5th line as it kills the power when you drop them to the 5th line. It is not hard to setup most "C" kites with a 5th line. You just need to attach a single line to the middle of the leading edge. Hopefully the 21M OR will have a pump leash that you can attach it to.
Most of the local kiters have migrated to the new bow or SLE style of kites to deal with the gusty conditions around here.

Hey thanks Kenny that would be great. Yeah I think next season or the one after I will probably go with the sle kites since everyone seems to like them and they seem better. I just figured for now I'll use my old kites since I'm a little rusty. Well, where have you been kiting lately? ssb? We'll have to pick a good wind day and meet up somewhere.

Steve,
I wish I were kitiing at SSB! Utah Lake has not had a north day in weeks. I can meet up with you or you can pick up the bar from me at my home or office. You may want it in advance to setup your OR with a 5th line.
