So last night I sold myself on a third mojave trip this year. All it took was the news crew interviewing So Cal fire men about the upcoming Santa Ana. Appartantly the forecast is looking ripe for some more fires. I think the best thing I could do is rig a 4.7m sail to block that wind. Yes, I am committing myself to some holiday service work - fight back those destructive winds.

So according to John Dubock terminology I will be heading up another mormon handcart company to the land of gerontology. The company is moving out late Thursday night or very very early Friday morning. Come join us for some good times. (and by good times I mean 4.2 sailing)

The only fires I saw today were some blue haired lady pulling slots at 6am, she was cussing up some spark laden vitrol like a merchant marine. Spent a fine 18.00 USD at the not exactly Riverview Palms Regency, Don't bother sleeping past 6am in Laughlin, the cattle call that marches to the bar will slam doors, steal your shower water, and cough their way to Blue Hair Haven...can't ya just hear the Ding Ding Ding...

Great Net access in the Laughlin Library on Needles Highway.

Cabinsite didn't fire today, rigged an 8.3 as rig therapy. 77 degrees, good napping weather, just enough South wind to push the midge flies to Six Mile Cove.

The Ranger ordered me to move my car 20 yards up the beach "so as not to block access". That was the highlight of my day. Rather than cause an international incident, I summoned the energy to move and promptly went back to snoozing.

This isn't the Gorge, I miss the health food restaurants. You could leave a Hypersonic in the middle of the road here and locals think its "a kayak". Or a spaceship.

Better put some NASCAR fairings on the Shirley Handcart for later this week, the locals are buying up blankets, stocking up on the sterno, could hit 55 as a low temp.
