Hi Todd,

Mixed bag at Mohave this coming week. Monday looks windless, Tuesday looks like the day
for 6 Mile Kiting. Weds looks pretty windless, Thursday looks like a North switch for 16M Kiteable
stuff at Kathrine's, Friday better North at Kathrine's might get you down to 12M. Saturday looks
marginal again. This time of year the mid day high temps range from 65-85, Next week
looks like no exception, but you'll probably see cloudy conditions as the fronts pass on Monday,
and Weds.

The best bet for 6 Mile is typically a stalled front to the west, with a low pressure centered
over the tip of Southern Nevada. Fronts are going through next week, but without stalling
you typically get 1 day of South wind followed by a windless day followed by North at
Kathrine's.

The better pattern is High and stagnant pressure up here, which usually forces a consistent
North wind (as long as the pressure doesn't move) at Kathrine's, usually in the 6.5/5.5 range
for windsurfers or 12/10M for Kite boarders. When it looks like a nasty several day inversion
up here it can be very consistent at Kathrine's

Good luck,

-Craig

Todd, I do know that Gunnars and Bucky are at Mojave right now, and will be for another week or two. I'm pretty sure they will stay at Six Mile, Good luck, let us all know how the wind is on your adventure.

Todd,

You must call Jarek Chojniak... I will email you his phone number... He is a Mohave addict. He'll give you all the low downs... And he's a good contact for windchecking live because he's down there all the time...

Rick.

or you could look at all the mojave forecasting tools I linked on the weather page.

But mostly you should follow Craigs advice, north wind is good when the high pressure sets up over wendover.

Spring time seems to be mostly south wind, though.
