Saratoga Springs Marina Fees

Ok guys I guess there is some questions about the marina fees.
http://www.saratoga-springs.net/newsevents/news/2008/04/marina-now-open.phpAnyway they don't have an employee manning the booth, so no fees until then. FYI - they are hiring for that position. Anybody need a job must let all the windsurfers in for free. And give wind reports.
I called the city and asked them to define "personal watercraft" they said they didn't know. So they are tracking down the person that wrote the policy to define the rules.
I have a feeling that we won't see people in the booth other than busy days.
The city offical in charge of the marina is supposed to call me back within the next couple of days.
If you have any suggestions or concerns tell me now.

How about an annual fee for all UWA members on a trial basis?

Just some ideas...
I would hope that they would look at us, wind lovers, and realize that we will be there, when the boats do not want to be on the water....when it's windy.
Also I would be curious to see if they charge the walk out fishermen.
I think that any craft that needs their nice boat ramps to launch, would need to pay the fee.
If they want us to pay a fee, which I would be willing to do, I hope it would be a reduced fee. I appreciate the nice place that they have created, but all we really want is the access to the water. I can live with out a boat ramp, we just need a nice little path to the water.
Our group is also very good at cleaning up the place, and keeping it nice. I'm sure I'm not the only one, who has picked up a bag or two of trash in the area that we use. I had one local guy ask me if I worked there? I said no, but I like to have a clean place to come and sail.

Well the hope is they just keep letting us go in for free. Especially that we only show up on days that the boaters are typically not present.
It sounded to me like they were having problems staffing the booth anyway.
The main question though is how are they interpreting the "boats and personal watercraft?" Over the phone the person I spoke with said that would be anything from a canoe to a jet ski. Either way I will get to the bottom of this. Hopefully we won't have any issues.

Kami just called me from the city and gave me the official guidelines.
For now the marina only charges for vehicles that are towing a trailer launched watercraft. Parking is free for the rest. Also if the parking lot is full use the gravel overflow parking lot and don't park in the neighborhood. (I don't really see this as an issue for us, windsurfers are too lazy to carry are gear that far.)
So we are good to go.
Please try to keep the launch clean and if you see any trash pick it up. I think this situation is great for us, so lets keep it this way. If they see us as a help mate then we should always be in favor.
I know one of our own pushed the city to put the sand beach in for us to launch. In that regard that is the most any city/government has done for us windsurfers. So lets be good stewards.
There's a couple marinas now...?

Sorry, Josh, I didn't see this post till now... I forgot to tell you that I spoke with them over there and got that same answer. But if it does come to paying, we'll be able to get a UWA deal... Probably WAY cheaper than Rocky Point was! They don't need it when it's blowing like crazy! We do though!
Having to deal with MY CAR GETTING ransacked on mothers day! TRAINER KITE STOLEN!*(!(*@ PHONE and some other junk... Mile Loeser! I'm feelin' ya buddy!
BTW It's Pelican Bay Marina Where the CROSSING is happening... I have yet to sail Saratoga Springs Marina.

Well the picture you shot of "Pelican Bay Marina" sure looks identicle to the launch at
Saratoga Springs Park. Maybe the marina there is called "pelican bay".
