Flaming Gorge for kiting?

It has Gorge in the name doesn't it? I checked our trusty google map, but no one posted anything about this site. I haven't been for about 10 years and know nothing about the lake. I'm going for the weekend wakeboard trip and wonder if I should piss off my wife and bring kite gear that won't get used. Is there even a slight possibility?

Come on guys, this is just what the maps are for. Help him (and everybody else) out. If you've been there and have the knowledge, post it on the UWA Places map. Just make a new marker for your favorite spot. Zoom way in using the "Satellite" map and set the launch site as precisely as you can. If we need more than one marker for the lake, make more. These maps are getting really good.
Thanks, Rick McClain

Mike,
I have kited up there tons of times... We go to State line cove just outside Manila, ut. I found that if there is any SW wind in the forecast it should blow there in the afternoon, the bad part is that its off shore wind and its gusty... Watch out for the afternoon thunderstorms they can get nasty so be careful.. Call me if you have any questions...
