After this weekend's storm some areas should have opened up for riding or will perhaps be ready by the end of the week. I am curious about how much PowMow received as Snowbasin is reporting 19" new. Park City should have rideable areas and perhaps, Strawberry has some spots that opened up. How much snow did Skyline receive? Please report.
The forecast for this week is a little bit of snow each day and a big storm coming in on Friday. Looks like winter conditions are finally here!

kenny i went out in pc yesterday looking, not enough IMHO. maybe more die hard enthusiast could get some rides. still allot of stuff showing

Fields at POTM flight park have been scoured down to the grass by the winds today, not rideable yet.

Where is "POTM flight park"? I can't find it on the UWA maps anywhere.

Thanks for the reports everyone. I read on Kiteutah that Skyline received 8" of snow on Saturday night.
Point of the Mountain Flight Park is on the south side of the Point of the Mountain. I used to kite there several years ago. It takes a cold, snowy winter to make the POM rideable as the wind scours the snow away and it also has a southern exposure.
I was thinking that Rush may have enough snow. Does anyone know how much this last storm dropped in Tooele?

I just called Pow Mow and was told they have 16 inches on the ground. I will try to go on Friday and let you know more.

Thanks Augie, it is a good idea to give the snow a day or two to settle when there is nothing underneath. I hope you get some good rides!

This link shows web cams for traffic, but one of the cams is located right near the UDOT field (near Home Depot) in Park City area. Select Park City from the upper left and the screen will show you a map of the area with cams. Click on the cam on rt 40 for current picture. Based on the picture, looks thin but rideable now.

thin snowpack at park city/field behind home depot today. drove up to check it out, lots of brush poking through
