When will Skyline be ready for actions

I was there yesterday afternoon and it snowed quite a bit. I was wondering how many inches of snow are needed before we can give it a try? The commuter cam right now showing quite a bit of snow still coming down!

Not yet, but kinda. Noah P from Monatana was in town for the Bob Wayne show at the Triangle... and had his gear with him ready for snow. He headed up this morning and just called an hour ago saying it was 4-6 inches near the parking lot at Skyline. Thin but ridable on skis and he had an hour session.

The UDoT traffic cam at the base of Electricity Lake is showing all white. Anyone want to head up on Friday?

This is a pic from Thursday. Solid 6 inches, but still way thin. There are hunters driving trucks and ATV's all over the dirt roads still. Needs a couple more storms, and Saturdays is looking better for another dump of a few inches.

I was there friday afternoon and there sin't really enough snow to cover the grasses. But it is ride-able near the parking lot. With a few more inches today, I think it is definitely more ride-able. I will give it a try again on Sunday.

Brian & Leo,

Thank you for the reports on Skyline conditions. Unfortunately, the high pressure is probably causing some snow loss this week. We need a really big storm (or better yet a couple small juicy ones) to get things ramped up and going at Skyline. Pray for snow!
