Its the big H over SLC and no wind to be found. Does anyone know if Powder Mountain blows or has an afternoon thermal effect, in this type of weather.

Looking for a place to ride, just a couple of Snowkiters back in Salt Lake without any wind to spare.

Any ideas or thoughts on where to ride today or the next couple daze?

I have had winds of up to 15mph on high pressure days at Pow Mow and I have also been skunked. It is hit and miss in my opinion, with no reliable wind indicators. We are going to be up there Friday. The wind is predicted to be 13mph out of the north. I am trying to line up a snowmobile to try a slightly further destination that favors north wind. Let me know if you want to join up.

Hey Augie-
This is Nate- this is late, but I'd love to join you on Friday... I have lunch break from 12-3, stop by the condos and let me know, or I'll see you out there!

Went up to PowMow yesterday afternoon with Chris, Chasta, Pat and Erin. Nice North winds with good Snowkiting until sunset. Chasta was showing us all a few new tricks and it was an enjoyable afternoon with a great view.

Today the crew is heading out to Strawberry to take advantage of the strong North winds.

Tomorrow I believe everyone is heading towards Skyline for the weekend. In addition to Chasta, there is a group of top Norwegian Snowkiters that are in town for the week, so it should be an epicv weekend down there.
