Deer Creek weather stations and wind phone

Are they all down for good? Even the airport station is not reporting. And the windtalker number isn't working. Does anyone know who to call, esp for the Sundance station? The "Pine Effect" has been a very useful indicator for years.

I would love to see Sundance back and I wish you good luck getting it. I've been using Provo Canyon @ mp 10. It's usually blowing easterly in the morning and gives a little forewarning for DC when it switches west or southwest. I also use US-40 Heber, which is before the Jordanelle Dam and SR-248 which is over buy Tuhaye, as general flow indicators. If they're blowing southwest it's a good sign for DC. Then of course there's the lake cam.

Carl,

Unfortunately, the wind phone is down for the count; the wind sensor still works, but the computer that processed the data and sent it out on the phone line has died. RIP

Well, with the windtalker down our best bet would be to get the Sundance site back up. As I remember they are happy to do that but they don't realize that people appreciate it during the summer and fall months. Rick H or someone may know more. Even the dam meter is useful but Sundance has been the most useful predictor. Who was it that checked into this in the past?
