5/8 Craig's Cold North wind

Postby Craig Goudie » Wed May 08, 2024 9:11 am

It looks like planable North wind at UL and Rush in the 6/12M range from 4 PM until dusk.
Air temps barely crack 50 degrees, so dangerously cold, but possible with the right
technology. Maybe a little scattered sun.

Tomorrow, similar PM N 6/12M winds at Rush and maybe UL. The Eastern cant makes
it hard for wind to get to UL launches, so check the Provo airport for double digits from
the NE or N before you go there. Rush tends to be better on days with NE winds than
does UL. Air temps in the upper 50s.

Friday looks like backfilling "Lowe Effect" 14M kite conditions at Pineview, and have a
few good thoughts about it's missing namesake. Otherwise, maybe some huge wing
foilable conditions at UL.
