Craig's Where to Ride 6/15

Postby Craig Goudie » Tue Jun 15, 2010 8:50 am

Windy the next 3 days (depending on where you are). Today, Grants is cranked up in the sub 4M range for some
Ripp'n rides till about 1 PM. DC looking premium in the 6/12M range from about 2 PM on till dusk. Sulfur Creek
looking like 6.5 Noon till 6 or so. Rush lake mud boarding in the 10M range AM and 12M PM with a mid day lull.

Tomorrow, the wind looks Stronger, but there will be a direction switch at some locations. Grants AM still look like
strong 4M conditions AM through about 2 PM. DC might get to 5.5/10 around Noon, and start to get really squirrelly
around 4PM. Willard looks like a possibility for South 6.5/12 till 1 or 2 and then North 5.5/10 from 2 till dusk.
Sulfur looks like 5.5 Noon till 6. UL will have AM wind from the South in the gusty 7.5/15M range, but
I'd wait for the North switch around 3 PM when it will go 5.5 at Saratoga Springs Park, and 10 at Lindon and Lincoln
(and the boat harbor). Keep in mind that I've under called the wind at UL consistently this year, so take your small gear
just in case. Mona will likely stay South all PM in the 6M range. Cooler air temps (70s) as the front passes.

On Thursday, Sulfur will be the call with a solid West wind in the 5.5 range PM, but very cool air (maybe 60 max)

Enjoy!
