I am kiting virgin and living in Ogden. How is Pineview for kiting, any good places to launch. Any other suggestions on where to go near Ogden for my wife and I?
thanks

Hi Jeff,

Pineview will blow planable conditions the day after a dry frontal passage with high pressure building back in.
Under those circumstances no place else in or around the area appears to blow much. I'm hoping Marty Lowe
will chime in here, as he is the ring leader of a very core group of Kiters who frequent Pineview, but he's kiting
out of state right now and so may not respond until he gets back (or at least gets off the water).

Well,, bummer, but my trip fell through, Jon had to cancel to help family.
but been kiting local, 4 of 6 days so far.. I'm expecting 6 of 8.

anyway,,,,

Pineview water level is to high for any safe launching now, no beach anywhere,
even if you found a little beach, it would be crowded.
kinda the same for Willard bay now also.
Both locations are more spring, and fall kite spots.

Basically like every one else in Utah,
Deer Creek, or Utah Lake, for now.

Drift launch doesn't seem the issue,
Without boat support for landing,
where ya gonna come in at?
The way I see it, either in the bushes,
or in a crowd of kids.

Although thats what 20 kiters did yesterday at Lincoln ?!?!!!?
