4/30 Rocky Point

Postby Sarah Ranes » Sun May 01, 2005 9:16 am

After the swap, it looked pretty gloomy, but about 1:30 I decided to check to see if there was wind any where. I was surprised to see 20 to 26 at the provo airport. So Linda and I slowly got our stuff together and headed for Rocky point. I think we arrived about 2:45 and was not great wind but enough for big gear. Linda had just purchased a new a490 mast so we spent some time getting her sail rigged. By the time we hit the water there were only Slight Caps to be seen but we got some rides. I used my fat board & 9.0 and Linda here big carve & 9.1. Not spectacular but we got in the straps and got a feel for the big gear again. It will be sad to loose RP to land development, it's a great place to sail.
