6/23 Grantsville 5.7 105 solid then wilder

8:20 arrival found us pulling in behind the faithful. Ken, John, Josh, Vern, Jonathan (newly returned from NJ - welcome back!) and a few wingsailors. steady 6.5 when we arrived, but once everyone began to rig, increased to 5.8-6.0, of course. A little over an hour of solid and o'powered 5.7, then at 10:00 it started going up rapidly. Gusts in the low 40's with a flurry of re-finning, re-boarding, and finally re-rigging in evidence, but we were out of there by 10:30, off to get to work. Standout sailor was Vern, who kept ripping and standing up even in the 40+ gusts with a 6.0 - way ta go, Vern!

Would be fun to get a non-prefrontal day at G'ville sometime. Water is cool but temperate. Nice to be there on a weekday morning.
