I was very interested to read Emmanuel's report, as it pretty much confirmed what I suspected looking at the data coming out of my weather station.

The wind kicked in about 10 and was still building at 11 when I arrived at the beach. Gusts into the low 20s suggested that a 6.0 might be the call, and it worked out pretty well, delivering an excellent plane/schlogg ratio until about 1 PM, when someone hit the "off" switch. The wind did come back (see Emmaunuel's post) but by that time I was at home. :D
