Anyone following the Americas cup racing? These boats are doing 25 knots upwind and 47 knots....through a jibe...insane!!.

The final races start next week. here is a vid of one of the last semifinals:

I just watched last weekends races and was inspired to bump this. These boats are doing 40+ knots down, 25+ knots up in only 17 knots wind and rough water...ridiculous. If you have $15 million you can buy one...I think us pole boarders/teabaggers are getting a better bang for our buck. Bottom line.. any true wind-sport geek must appreciate these engineering marvels blasting around the bay. Here is the tail end of the last race to give an idea of the technical/tactical feats of AC72 match racing.
