Kenny's Where to Ride 12/23 - 10:30 Update

10: 30 AM Update - Check the cams before you go. Strawberry was sunny at 9:30, now it is a bit socked in. Skyline still socked in. Visibility may be an issue throughout the day as storm lingers.

Strawberry opener today with some new snow and NW wind in the upper teens, possibly low 20's. If you go, please let me know what the coverage is like on the hills. There will be some pocket sagebrush traps and be careful crossing stream areas. Skyline will have better coverage and more new stuff as the outgoing storm dumped more snow in the southern mountains. Wind will be in the high teens/low twenties and gusty. Both areas may experience snow squalls at times. I would check the UDOT web cam before heading up to make sure the storm has moved out. The storm will clear out of Strawberry a little earlier in the day compared to Skyline. PC will be rideable on NW winds in the the mid to upper teens. Bluffdale and Rush will also be rideable. I have not heard a report on the snow coverage at Rush, but I assume it is decent.

Christmas Eve promises more NW wind with riding at Strawberry and Skyline under sunny skies with wind in the mid-teens. You may also get some rides at PC and/or Rush.

Christmas Day is looking like light wind at Skyline, possibly Strawberry as well.
