6/9 Craig's Where to Shred

Postby Craig Goudie » Sat Jun 09, 2012 9:55 am

So, yesterdays predicted Noon to 3 Rush lull turned into a Noon to 4 planable North.
Proving once again weather is chaos, but at least in a good way. With humility......

Today North winds look strong, but be prepared for cooler temps
especially if you go to Sulfur. Rush is light North this
AM, but will rapidly rise in strength to 4/8M conditions
around Noon, and may even get to 3.5/7 by 2 or 3 PM.
UL launches look like gusty NW 5/10M
conditions early afternoon, and ramping up quickly so that
by about 3 PM you'll be looking for the smallest
gear you have. I feel some big swell rides and big air coming on at UL
today but make sure you've got a buddy. Sulfur looks to have
pretty steady West winds in the 4.5 sail range, and mid 50s air
temps. DC is actually up this AM and planable,
from the SW, and will probably stay planable with much stronger gusts until about
1 PM when I think it will devolve into near unridable gusts and holes.
Stay safe out there, there's a lot of energy in the atmosphere, including a blob
of moisture that'll probably clip the Salt Lake Valley around 11 AM.

Tomorrow, the best wind will probably be at Sulfur Creek PM in the 6M sail
range (at least air temp will be slightly warmer at maybe 60 degrees), but
Rush will probably have some 7/14M North PM as well.

Monday does not look windy anywhere.

-Craig

p.s. it's windy up here, but not as windy as it is where you are, enjoy!
