2/20 Kenny's Where to Ride

Today is an odd sort of transition day with a weak storm moving into the area during the course of the day. It should not bring a lot of snow fall or wind. The point forecast and models don't show a lot of wind. However, there will be wind out there and the trick is timing. If I lived near Skyline, I would head there right now to enjoy the morning SE wind, it may hold into the early afternoon. As the front passes by, the flow should turn to the north. It might be enough to fire Strawberry. I would check Daniel's if you want to go. If the baseline wind is above 10 mph, you are good to go. However, you might just want to wait until tomorrow.

Thursday is looking solid at Skyline and Strawberry with wind in the upper-teens to low-twenties. The only issue might be a possible whiteout at Skyline, I would just check the camera before going. It doesn't look like Strawberry is going to get a lot of snow out of this storm, so it may be crusty. Skyline is still primo for snow conditions. I think UL has a good shot of going off as well.

Friday is also looking good at Skyline and Strawberry with wind in the mid-teens.

Saturday a stronger storm moves into the area. This looks like the storm that will freshen up Strawberry.
